Lodgings in the District and beyond

If you aren’t able to find a place to stay, we’ll do our very best to find you housing with a local dancer; please take note that hospitality will be first-come, first-served. There are also numerous wonderful places to stay in Dupont Circle and around the city.

For out-of-towners planning to provide their own lodging, we recommend:

  • Hostels are a convenient, budget-friendly, and ethical option that tend to offer private rooms as well as dorm accommodations in DC. Hilltop Hostel in Takoma Park is conveniently located on the Red Line.
  • Hotels Near DC Metro provides a rundown of affordable hotels within easy walking distance of Metro stations off the beaten path.
  • Culture Trip has suggestions for conveniently-located hotels in the District.
  • DC’s tourism office lists unique and comfortable places to stay.

Airbnb is another option for lodging; you can find the best-suited ones on this local’s guide to DC Airbnbs. However, we consider Airbnb a last-resort option as DC’s city council has voted to restrict Airbnb rentals owing to the company’s abuses of affordable housing laws and the impact of short-term renting on housing markets.
